The Eastern Cape Department of Health bursary will cover the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, exam fees, prescribed textbooks, meals and accommodation.
Once students have graduated from their studies, they will be required to work within the Eastern Cape Health sector and aim to give back to the community.

The Eastern Cape Department of Health Bursary have the following fields of study available: Nursing Science, Ultra Sound Radiography Pharmacy (B), Optometry (B), Dentistry (BChD), Oral Hygiene (ND), Clinical Psychology (Masters), Clinical Associates (Degree), Paramedic / Medical care – Emergency Dietetics / Nutrition (Bsc), Speech and Audio Therapy (Bsc), Therapy – Occupational (Bsc) and Physiotherapy (Bsc). This is subject to change depending on the need of the Department.
Requirements and eligibility
Applicants for the Eastern Cape Department of Health Bursary must be South African citizens residing in the Eastern Cape and willing to work in rural areas after completion of studies.
