Trudon Bursary South Africa

Bursary Scheme Prospective students at tertiary learning institutions are can apply for generous Trudon bursaries. Every year between the beginning of October and the end of November we interview candidates from previously disadvantaged backgrounds who are interested in studying full time at a South African tertiary institution (university) towards an undergraduate degree in: Informatics / Economics and Econometrics / Information Management/ IT Management Computer Science and Informatics/ Information Technology Multimedia Design Digital Media Studies Multimedia Design and Digital Media Studies are awarded to students studying towards a Bachelor of Information Science (Publishing and Multimedia) and/or Graphic Design qualification. These degrees/ qualifications represent fields of relevance to the company. The main criteria for the selection of applications are financial need and academic potential (Majors and overall average minimum 60%). Once bursary students complete their studies they can enter a one-year graduate training programme at Trudon to experience some of the practicalities associated with their chosen field. While at Trudon, graduate trainees are assessed for aptitude and competence and might be offered permanent positions if they are available.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered): South African citizen/ permanent resident Have a Matric/ Grade 12 certificate (and passed Mathematics) Accepted by their chosen tertiary institution for one of the aforementioned qualifications Currently studying (2nd/ 3rd year) towards a full-time qualification in one of the aforementioned fields Currently studying at a recognised South African University (NOT a University of Technology/ College) Current students (2nd/ 3rd year) must have obtained a minimum average of 60% *Preference will be given to African, Coloured and Indian students (academic merit is, however, still strongly considered)
