The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) offers this bursary opportunity to previously disadvantaged South Africans with the aim of enhancing youth development as well as developing a culture of lifelong learning within the department. Applicants will need to have either successfully completed their first year at a tertiary institution or be registered for postgraduate studies to qualify for the DEA Bursary.
Requirements and eligibility
Potential applicants must fulfil the following criteria:
South African citizen
Studying full-time at a recognised South African tertiary institution
Strong academic achiever
Not currently employed
*Preference will be given to applicants who are previously disadvantaged and have either successfully completed their first year at a tertiary institution or have registered for postgraduate studies.
