The National Office of Epilepsy South Africa offers strategic direction to the organisation, aiming to build a society where individuals with epilepsy and other disabilities can access equal opportunities to thrive and reach their maximum potential across all aspects of life. Additionally, the National Office is committed to fostering service excellence, effective management and financial sustainability within the organisation.

About this Bursary

The Epilepsy South Africa Educational Trust was established in December 1998. The founding Trustees (Kathryn Pahl, Amelia Jones, Donald Campbell, Mzolisi Toni, Vusi Mahlasela and Jocelyne Kane-Berman) embraced the vision and together perused and assessed numerous applications from all over South Africa. The Trust exists solely to provide financial support for tertiary education to promising and talented students with epilepsy. Although only able to provide part-bursaries, the Trust’s support to students has been making a life-changing difference for nearly two decades.

How to Apply

Fill in the application form and attach the supporting documents. There are two methods of submitting it before the closing date. Physically mail it to The Secretary, Epilepsy South Africa Educational Trust, PostNet Suite #131, Private Bag X 3, Bloubergrant, 7443 or email it to nationaldirector.no@epilepsy.org.za . Supporting documents include: South African ID High School exam results Proof of Acceptance for Admission Qualification certificates and academic results Proof of household income Medical proof of having epilepsy Proof of Epilepsy SA membership
