    The National Office of Epilepsy South Africa offers strategic direction to the organisation, aiming to build a society where individuals with epilepsy and other disabilities can access equal opportunities to thrive and reach their maximum potential across all aspects of life. Additionally, the National Office is committed to fostering service excellence, effective management and financial sustainability within the organisation.

    Bursary description

    NOTE: EPILEPSY SA EDUCATION TRUST APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED FOR 2025

    The Epilepsy South Africa Educational Trust was founded in December 1998 with a clear mission. The founding Trustees, including Kathryn Pahl, Amelia Jones, Donald Campbell, Mzolisi Toni, Vusi Mahlasela, and Jocelyne Kane-Berman, shared a vision and diligently reviewed numerous applications from across South Africa.

    The primary purpose of the Trust is to offer financial assistance to promising and gifted students who have epilepsy and are pursuing tertiary education. While the Trust can provide only partial bursaries, its support has been significantly impacting the lives of students for nearly two decades, making a profound and positive difference.

    1. Individual with epilepsy
    2. Accepted to study at a tertiary education institution
    3. Financial need
    4. Good academic record
    5. South African citizen
    How to apply

    Fill in the application form and attach the supporting documents. There are two methods of submitting it before the closing date. Physically mail it to The Secretary, Epilepsy South Africa Educational Trust, PostNet Suite #131, Private Bag X 3, Bloubergrant, 7443 or email it to nationaldirector.no@epilepsy.org.za .

    • Proof of Acceptance for Admission
    • Qualification certificates and academic results
    • Proof of household income
    • Medical proof of having epilepsy
    • Proof of Epilepsy SA membership
