Founded in 1999 by Peet and Mart Cilliers and Roy Tucker, the Legend group was established with the objective of introducing both South African citizens and international business and leisure tourists to the wide range of diverse attractions that the country has to offer.
The Legend group's extensive portfolio encompasses the vast diversity of South Africa, including its people, languages, culture, stunning landscapes, and abundant wildlife, such as birds and marine animals. The group operates a collection of safari and country lodges, coastal hotels, cultural villages, and shebeens, not only within South Africa but also in Mozambique and Botswana.
Bursary description
The complete Legend Hospitality certification program has a cost of R 144,000 for the entire 18-month duration. Partial tuition coverage is provided through available bursaries, with R 30,000 being offered for successful applicants. However, the beneficiary is responsible for the outstanding balance of R 114,000. If you have an interest in developing skills and pursuing a career in the hospitality sector, you may be considered for this bursary opportunity. Candidates are required to possess robust interpersonal abilities.
Requirements and eligibility
To enroll in L.H.S, a minimum of South African school level equal to Grade 12 is required.
Students who are currently in Grade 12 can apply by submitting their latest exam results.
Prospective students should be physically fit and able to perform heavy duty work required in the Hospitality Industry.
Prospective students should be fluent in English as it is the predominant language used in the Hospitality Industry.
All assessments and international examinations will also be conducted in English.
Prospective students will have to attend a personal interview with LHS Management to assess their interest in the field and verbal competencies.
During the interview process, a small aptitude test will also be conducted.
