About this Bursary

The Masters Builders KwaZulu-Natal Bursary Fund recognises the shortage of skilled workers in the building industry and the financial obstacles that prevent many South African students from reaching their full potential. The fund was created in 2015 to provide financial support to students, allowing them to pursue their education without being limited by financial constraints, and to address the skills shortage that is hindering the industry's growth. The Association invites new applicants every year, and the bursaries are designed to encourage students to pursue programs that lead to qualifications that are needed in the building industry. Preference is given to South African citizens who reside in KwaZulu-Natal and who are studying in fields related to the building industry. Only fully completed application forms, accompanied by the required supporting documents, will be considered. All supporting documents must be certified copies, not originals. It is the applicant's responsibility to apply for admission to a tertiary institution in KwaZulu-Natal. Bursaries are awarded for one academic year and are renewable based on satisfactory academic progress. Funding is available for tuition fees, residence, travel, books, and other related expenses. If applicants do not receive a response by the application closing date, their application was not successful. Application forms are preferably posted or hand-delivered, but faxed or emailed applications will be considered if the forms are available for review upon request. Only applications from South African citizens will be considered. Applicants are advised to apply on time through the Central Applications Office (CAO) if applicable, for admission to an educational institution of their choice.
