About SAPOA Bursary South Africa

Established in 1966, the South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) is dedicated to safeguarding the interests of the industrial and commercial property sector in South Africa. Operating as a member-centric organization, SAPOA is committed to promoting private property ownership and fostering property development. The primary objective of the organisation is to attain acknowledgment and prominence as a leading property association, both on a national and international scale.

About this Bursary

The SAPOA bursary fund intends to address the shortage of skills shortage within the South African Commercial Property Industry. The fund is aimed at assisting young black deserving financially disadvantaged students, in the hopes that they can transform the countries commercial property industry. SAPOA bursaries will be awarded to those studying towards a property-related qualification, particularly the following fields of study: Finance (BCom) (majoring in Property Valuation and Management) Property Valuation and Management (BCom) Property Management (BSc) Property Studies (BSc) Real Estate (BSc) Town and Regional Planning (BSc) Urban and Regional Planning (BSc) Construction Studies (BSc) Quantity Surveying (BSc)

Eligibility Requirements

South African citizen OR South African naturalized citizen Completed Matric Studying or intend on studying full-time in one of the aforementioned fields of study Studying at a recognised University or University of Technology in South Africa (registered with the Council for Higher Education), Black students, as defined by the BBBEE Act (i.e. African/ Coloured/ Indian) Good academic record Proven financial need
