Bursary description
The Genesis Analytics Educational Foundation Trust strives to provide support to Economics students hailing from historically disadvantaged backgrounds who find themselves in the last year of their undergraduate programs, or in their Honours or Master's stages of study.
Requirements and eligibility
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered for a bursary:
- South African citizenship and EE status
- Previously disadvantaged student
-Applicants must be in the process of applying for either one of the following qualifications or related disciplines: An honours or master’s degree in: Economics, Economic Science, Applied Economics, Development Economics, Behavioural Economics, International Development and Public Health: Epidemiology or Health Economics.
-Applicants must have achieved a consistent average of 65% and above for their undergraduate and/or honours degrees. --The bursary is primarily available to cover tuition fees as well as books and stationery.
-Dependent on available funds, GEFT may be in a position to contribute towards additional needs such as accommodation and transport.

Once your Genesis Analytics Bursary application has been received, it will be screened against eligibility criteria. If you meet these criteria, you will be asked to complete an online assessment.
After this, a telephonic interview will be held. If you are shortlisted after this, you will undergo a panel interview. If successful, you will be awarded the bursary.
