Liberty, supplier of the Liberty bursary, provides asset management; health products and investment services for over 3 million individuals, families and businesses throughout Africa.
Liberty are awarding bursaries to students pursuing their studies towards an Actuarial Science qualification (from the 2nd year of study onward). You will be guaranteed employment once you have completed your studies at university.
Requirements and eligibility
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
South African citizen
Completed Matric/ Grade 12 year
Studying full-time towards an Actuarial Science degree (from the 2nd year of study onward)
Studying at an ASSA (Actuarial Society of South Africa) accredited University in South Africa
Maintain continuous excellent academic performance in all modules in the first year of study
Maintain an overall average above 60% and average 65% or more for mathematical and actuarial modules
Good leadership qualities and participation in extramural activities (sports, debating societies, chess clubs and various olympiads, etc.) is relevant and could give you the upper hand
