    Bursary description

The National Metrology Institute of South Africa (NMISA) extends bursaries to students pursuing qualifications in metrology-related fields. Metrology, the science of measurement, plays a vital role across various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and energy.

NMISA awards these bursaries to students with outstanding academic records who exhibit the potential for a successful career in metrology. Applicants must be South African citizens or permanent residents and must be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program at a recognized South African institution.

The bursary encompasses the coverage of tuition fees, accommodation, and a living allowance. Additionally, bursary recipients have the valuable opportunity to acquire practical experience through an internship at NMISA. This hands-on experience in metrology enhances the students' academic studies.
