Pyrotec, founded in 1966, is a privately owned South African company specialising in providing product identification solutions. With a rich history spanning over five decades, the company's expertise has been handed down from one generation to the next.
Pyrotec PackMark: This division offers a comprehensive range of equipment and consumables for labeling, coding, printing, and applying labels.
Pyrotec PackMedia: Focused on innovation, this branch designs and manufactures state-of-the-art promotional and informational booklet labels.
The company's headquarters is located in Cape Town, and it boasts a strong presence with centers strategically situated across various regions in South Africa, including the Western Cape, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, and the Eastern Cape. Pyrotec also extends its reach through a network of distributors in countries such as Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Swaziland, Mozambique, and Lesotho.
Bursary description

Each year, Pyrotec awards bursaries to deserving students, particularly those studying within the following fields of study:
Information Technology & Communication
Engineering
Health Professionals and related Clinical services
Architects, Town Planners and Surveyors
Business, Management and Economics
Natural & Social Science Professionals
Quality and Regulatory Professionals
Media Professionals, Artistic, Literary, Design and Graphic Design/DTP
Sales, Marketing and related Associate Professionals
Sports and Fitness
Finance
Human Resources
The bursary will cover the following expenses: tuition fees, registration fees, accommodation (single room at university hostel) and an annual allowance of maximum R5 000 for textbooks.
Requirements and eligibility
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
South African resident
Completed Matric OR currently in Matric
Studying or intend on studying in one of the aforementioned fields of study
AA/EE student
Preference will be given to first-year students with a minimum average of 70% overall grade.
