The Transport Education Training Authority, known as TETA, is an organization in South Africa that plays a crucial role in helping the transport sector grow. They focus on training and developing skills for various parts of the transport industry, like ships, trucks, trains, taxis, planes, and more.
TETA is dedicated to solving the problem of not having enough skilled workers in the transport sector. They do this by giving out scholarships every year. These scholarships are meant to encourage and support people who want to learn and work in the transport industry, especially if they have skills that are in high demand.
TETA invites people who are looking for work and meet certain requirements to apply for financial help for the next school year. They especially want to help people who may have had fewer opportunities in the past, like young people under 35, women, and people with disabilities. By offering these scholarships, TETA wants to help close the gap in skills in the transport industry and give people the chance to have successful careers in this important field.
