Learning is a never-ending road of discovery, challenge, inspiration, and wonder. For many people, learning is the route to a job to support their family or the skills to help them progress in their career. For others, it's simply a passion for discovery. Whether it's in the classroom, at home, or in the workplace, learning is the key to improving our life chances. That’s why Pearson is focused on helping learners at every stage of the journey discover a love of learning that helps provide opportunities throughout their lives.
Pearson Institute wants to ensure that talented, top-performing students get every opportunity to further their studies. They know that, for many, a fulfilling and rewarding career may feel out of reach. It’s a goal that can only be achieved building on the foundation of a solid education.
Simply put, they don’t want their students to be limited just because of the cost of a good education. That’s why they’re awarding the Pearson scholarship to a new student that enrolls with them. By providing financial support to full-time students, they empower students to get real world ready with one of their qualifications.
The Pearson scholarship is awarded based on the following criteria:
1. The student passed all Grade 12 certificate subjects with an average above 50% (Rating score 4).
2. Only the six subjects with the highest rating (excluding Life Orientation) will be considered.
3. Candidates need to have met the admission requirements for the qualification they wish to study.
4. Application rankings are based on the average percentage of the rating score obtained on the Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent – such as A-levels or IEB examinations)
