Julie Sweet has been the CEO of Accenture since September 2019. The company has been incorporated in Dublin, Ireland since 2009.
Bursary description
The Accenture Education Trust provides scholarships for students with a family income ranging from R 350 000 to 1 Million and NSFAS Post-Graduate Students with a Household Income of < R300k. To be eligible for this scholarship, students should have a strong academic background and be studying towards a technology-aligned degree in one of the selected tertiary institutions in South Africa listed below.
Applicants should be in their second, third, fourth, or Honours year of study and have a cumulative average of above 65%. The scholarship will cover registration, tuition, examination fees, meals, residence, prescribed books, and a laptop. In addition, successful applicants will receive ongoing mentorship.
The following technology-aligned degrees are eligible for the scholarship:
BSc (Bachelor of Science) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information and Knowledge Systems, Information Systems, and Mechanical with Mechatronics Engineering
BSc (Eng) in Information Technology, and Electronic/Electrical (Light Current)
BCom (Bachelor of Commerce) in Informatics, Information Systems, Stats and Data Science, and Computer Science
Data Engineering in Big Data Analytics and Post Graduate Diploma in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
BEng (Bachelor of Engineering) in Electronic or Electrical Comp Eng, Information Engineering, and Micro Electronic Engineering.
Requirements and eligibility
To be considered for the application, it is required to attach all five prerequisite documents in the CV/Resume attachment box. These documents include:
a certified copy of your identity document
a certified full academic record, including mid-year exam results/progress report
a certified copy of grade 12 results
a certified copy of proof of parents’/guardian’s earnings if less than R 600K
the latest Income tax return of parents/guardian’s earnings if less than R 600K
Additionally, a copy of your curriculum vitae is also a prerequisite for the application.
