    Bursary description

    The South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) extends study bursaries to students enrolled in geomatics-related degree programs at accredited South African institutions. These bursaries are granted on the basis of academic excellence, financial necessity, and the potential to make meaningful contributions to the field of geomatics.

    The SAGC bursary opportunity is for students wanting to study:

    • B.Sc. in Surveying /Geomatics,
    • B.Tech Surveying / Mine Surveying / Geomatics, or
    • Diploma in Surveying / Mine Surveying or GIS
    Requirements and eligibility

    Applicants need to show promise and achievement in their academics. Applicants must also meet the minimum criteria before applying:

    • South African citizen
    • Finished Matric or in matric
    • Studying towards one of the aforementioned qualifications
    • Registered to study at a recognised University or University of Technology in South Africa
    How to apply

    To apply for the study bursaries offered by the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC), you need to complete the application form which can be downloaded from the SAGC website. In addition to the completed application form, you will need to attach the following documents:

    1. Matric certificate
    2. ID document
    3. Tertiary qualifications certificate(s)
    4. Latest results for June and November
    5. Provisional Letter of Acceptance at University / University of Technology
    6. Proof of Registration at Institution
