About this Bursary

Standard Bank, in partnership with StudyTrust, offers full cost bursaries to students who have demonstrated academic and leadership potential, who are currently in Grade 12 and will be in their first (1st) year of study. Bursaries will be awarded to students who intend on undertaking their studies in one of the following fields: COMMERCE: Actuarial Science Applied Mathematics Financial Mathematics Business Mathematics and Informatics Business Science Econometrics Economics Finance (B Com) Accounting (CA /Non-CA) Information Technology Information Systems (B Com) Investment Management Law (B Com/ LLB) Quantitative Finance Quantitative Risk Management Risk Management Software Development Statistics Supply Chain Management Taxation Compliance Forensics ENGINEERING: Aeronautical Engineering Agricultural Engineering Chemical Engineering Civil Engineering Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronic Engineering Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering Mining Engineering Quantity Surveying Architecture Construction Economics and Management SCIENCE: Agricultural Science Computational and Applied Mathematics Computer Science Mathematics (BSc)

Eligibility Requirements

The undergraduate bursary is specific to students that are on track to successfully complete their 1st year and require funding from their 2nd year of studies onwards. Applicants should be well-rounded with strong academic results in funded qualifications. The minimum requirements are: Applicants must have achieved an average of 65% and above in the latest examinations. Applicants must be registered for full-time undergraduate studies. Applicants will be required to participate in a formal assessment process including but not limited to Psychometric evaluation and an interview. Financial need is considered in applications. The Standard Bank Group Bursary provides full-cost bursaries to financially deserving and academically sound students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies in the funded study fields. Minimum selection criteria: Applicants must have achieved an average of 65% and above in the latest examinations. Applicants must register for full-time postgraduate studies at a public South African institution of higher learning Applicants will be required to participate in a formal assessment process including but not limited to Psychometric evaluation and interview. Financial need is considered in applications.
