The Bushbuckridge Local Municipality is a region situated in the southeastern part of Limpopo Province as well as the northeastern part of Mpumalanga Province, which has been designated as a presidential nodal point. It was previously part of the Bohlabela District Municipality (located within Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality) to the north, and is adjacent to Fetakgomo Local Municipality in the west. The municipal area provides a vital connection to Lydenburg and other neighboring towns, particularly Hoedspruit, Pilgrim Rest, and Graskop.

The Bushbuckridge Local Municipality is offering a bursary program designed to provide support to students originating from underprivileged and financially disadvantaged families residing within the municipal boundaries. The primary objective of this bursary is to aid these students in their pursuit of higher education and the realization of their academic aspirations.

South African Citizen
You reside within the municipal area of the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality
Have proof that you require financial aid
In Matric or have completed Matric
Registered or accepted to study at a accredited tertiary institution
Looking to study full time in one of the applicable field
How to apply
To apply for the bursary, please complete the application form provided in the link and ensure that you have the following documents:
A certified copy of your birth certificate or ID
A certified copy of your parents/guardian's salary statement or an affidavit of income
A certified copy of your Grade 12 certificate/NCV
A certified copy of your Grade 12 June examination results (if you are currently in Grade 12)
A valid proof of residence
Proof of disability from a registered medical doctor, clinic or hospital (if applicable)
Proof of indigent status
A proof of registration or acceptance letter from a higher education institution
