The current group's origins trace back to 1970 when Wilson-Holmes (Pty) Ltd was established by John Wilson and Brian Holmes. Over the years, several mergers occurred, leading to a name change to Wilson Bayly Holmes (Pty) Limited in 1983, and ultimately to WBHO Construction in 1996. Presently, the group stands as one of the largest construction firms in Southern Africa and is publicly listed on the Johannesburg Securities Exchange.
WBHO's success is attributed to a dedicated team of hands-on management professionals with decades of experience in overseeing major construction projects across Southern Africa, the Middle East, and various Indian Ocean islands. WBHO strategically positions its offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth. The company's construction activities span three primary operating divisions: Building Construction, Civil Engineering, and Roads and Earthworks. Additionally, their Australian subsidiary, Probuild Constructions, is headquartered in Melbourne.
